Littlefoot the Uromastyx (Uromastyx Maliensis) is one of my darling creatures. He's without doubt the most difficult to take care of. He's worth every penny and every hour. He's also the most fascinating. I could talk about Uros in the wild for hours upon end. They're really really incredibly adapted reptiles. Littlefoot's ancestors were from the sahara desert. He likes it Really hot and is a strict herbivore.
DO NOT GET A UROMASTYX BECAUSE THEY ARE DARLING. THEY ARE EXTRAORDINARILY DIFFICULT TO TAKE CARE OF PROPERLY AND ARE NOT LIZARDS THAT ARE GOOD FOR HANDLING. I repeat: THIS IS NOT AN ANIMAL THAT SHOULD BE IN THE GENERAL PET TRADE. PLEASE Do not support the purchasing of these guys from pet stores. You will be getting a uro that was wild caught, stressed to all hell, and mistreated. A uro in a pet store will only seem social and seem like its enjoying being held because its been freezing to death. Uros are Very active creatures if they're getting proper care. It will not just let you pick it up.

As of September 2009 =ImaginaryRosse joined the project and will be helping us out with the weekly choices. While things have changed over time, the essence of the newsletter is still the same. As of recent, the talented =Behana has joined us in bringing you this weekly newsletter and we are excited to have her on board. This is a special feature, with a selection of 50 manips from the past year that we loved.
