Now when the paint jar tipped
Off of the table
You watched as it started to fall
Glass popped, shattered and splattered
And paint spray hit the wall
Bright, blue glossy enamel
Across the kitchen floor
You said, "Good God, look at that pattern
I've never seen that before"
Leave it like it is
Never mind the turpentine.
Just leave it like it is
Its fine
Now when the paint dried
You gave it a title
You called it "Kitchen Blue"
A white frame painted around it
And gallery lighting too
Rich folks come over to dinner
They all want one of their own
They say "How much? Who's the artist"
And, "My what a beautiful home"
Leave it like it is
Never mind the turpentine.
Just leave it like it is
Its fine
Now most folks suffer in sorrow
Thinking they're just no good
They don't match the magazine model
As close as they think they should
They live just like the "paint by numbers"
The teacher would be impressed
A life-time of follow the lines
So it's just like all of the rest
Leave it like it is
Never mind the turpentine.
Just leave it like it is
Its fine

Its hard to find a singer to inspire you while you work. One to keep you from storming away from the computer when it delets twelve hours of work without a second glance.
I promise that this is not close to the beauty that was the first one. I barely even remember the other now. Its gone, and i know i shouldn't hover.. but eesh, its hard.
wow... the colors are awesome. This is really sweet.. it looks different than your other stuff though.
I think full view might be too big... maybe not, but I feel like I can't see all of it when it's big... and there's too much detail.. but the smaller one is too small because it's missing the detail. Anyhow, this is really sweet. the darkness and the lines, and the *drool* left eye, and the kewlness colorness going on under the chin with the lineyness. yum.
I'm not sure if i like it more or less. Its hard to tell.
And i understand the problem, quite well. I don't like how small most of my stuff is, though. It loses something. I mean, just to FV and be hit with thick darkness and detail and little patterns in every line....
thats something that makes me jump and grin and delight.
___
I look at it and wish i could make another one.. quickly.
And then i stop and laugh at myself, because this takes hours and hours and hundreds of layers and wincing as i save every few minutes, because all the layers and the color and the settings are pushing my photoshop to the edge.
And then i think about settings and doubt that photmanipulating is.... you know.... art.
Its not that hard.
anyone can do this... so... *talks herself in to a hole and disappears*

Gaah! That's the best thing I've seen all day! And I've been looking at quite a bit of art, might I add.
I really love how those... swirly... things... in the backround... erm... well, I like them. They remind me of... that style... that i can't remembember the name of... where they take cloth and put wax on it and dye it... then take teh wax off and dye another layer...
Anyway, it's great! I love this!

This newsletter was "born" back in March 2007, from a conversation between ~Lareth and =FrozenStarRo, who with the help of their friends *Iardacil and =Sylwiaa , wanted to make something to promote known and unknown photomanipulators alike here on DeviantArt. As of September 2009 =ImaginaryRosse joined the project and will be helping us out with the weekly choices. While things have changed over time, the essence of the newsletter is still the same. As of recent, the talented =Behana has joined us in bringing you this weekly newsletter and we are excited to have her on board. This is a special feature, with a selection of 50 manips from the past year that we loved.
